Platform comparisons

Head-to-head comparisons of popular video chat platforms. Each one is filled in only after we test both platforms.

How comparisons work

Each comparison puts two platforms side by side on the same checks: guest access, cost model, gender filter, sign-up, mobile, age rules and moderation. Where we have not tested yet, we show what each platform says about itself, with a source and date. Once both are tested, our own results replace the placeholders.

Which comparison should you read?

Pick the two platforms you are deciding between. If you are not sure yet, start with the platform directory or the alternatives pages to find candidates.

Where to begin

Start with the two platforms you are already considering. If you are not sure yet, the platform directory and the alternatives pages help you build a shortlist first, and the guides explain what each comparison row means.

What we compare

  • Guest access and sign-up data
  • Cost model and price per minute
  • Gender filter availability and cost
  • Mobile browser and app support
  • Age rules and moderation tools

Why verdicts come later

A verdict between two platforms only means something if both were tested the same way, on the same devices, around the same date. That is why a comparison shows sourced information first and our conclusion only after both tests are done.
